Twenty-One Roles.
Zero Additional Payroll Expense.
The expertise you were never going to hire full time.An AI role is a single business job, like bookkeeping or inbound customer service, run by software that is trained on one company’s data and process instead of by a person on payroll. This is the AI team that runs Operational Freedom: 16 of these roles are working today and 5 are defined and built next, and they say so. None of them can send, publish, or spend anything without a human approving it first. Click any role to see what it does and what breaks without it.
There Are Jobs In Your Business
Nobody Is Doing
Not the ones you hired for. The ones you never got to. Somebody was going to write the handbook. Somebody was going to follow up with the people who did not book. Somebody was going to check that claim before it went into an ad. Nobody did, because there was never a person whose job it was.
These do not arrive as a crisis. They show up quietly.
- The lead who filled in the form on Friday and heard back on Tuesday.
- The policy applied one way in March and a different way in June.
- The client who went quiet three months before they cancelled.
- The books rebuilt in a panic in April.
None of that is anyone’s fault. It is just nobody’s job.
These are AI agents, not employees. The ones marked as running are running now, not a mockup. The 5 marked planned are defined and not built yet. Not one of them, running or planned, has approval authority. New to the idea? The FAQ covers what an AI employee is and how it differs from a chatbot. The HUMAN AI Method™ covers how any of them get built.
Beverly Scheider
Founder and sole approver
Emma
Orchestrator
Emma receives the work, routes it to the right specialist, and reports back. That is the whole job. Emma has zero approval authority. No AI on this team approves another AI’s send, publish, or spend. Every one of those waits for a person.
Customer Experience
Inbox ManagerRuns today as Kai
Reads every inbound email, sorts what matters from what does not, drafts the replies that are routine, and surfaces the ones that need a real decision.
The inbox becomes the place opportunities go to die. A partnership invite and a receipt get the same amount of attention, which is none.
Passes partnership invites to Partnerships, cancellations to Retention, client language to Voice of Customer, and anything with terms attached to Contracts.
$47,500 a year is the national median for Secretaries and administrative assistants, the closest matching occupation.
Customer Service LeadSawyer · defined, not yet built
Answers inbound customer questions across email, chat and text. Handles appointment and order status, routine problems, and policy questions, around the clock.
Customers wait. The ones who do not wait call someone else, and you never find out they were there.
Escalates anything needing a judgment call to a human. Logs every interaction so patterns show up instead of disappearing.
$44,800 a year is the national median for Customer service representatives, the closest matching occupation.
Client Retention DirectorRuns today as Stella
Watches for the quiet signals that come before a cancellation. Runs milestone touches, checks in on accounts that have gone silent, and records why anyone leaves.
You find out a client is unhappy when they cancel. By then the conversation that would have fixed it is three months late.
Sends cancellation reasons to Voice of Customer as objections worth answering, and the monthly pattern line to Operations.
$70,000 a year is the national median for Sales representatives of services, the closest matching occupation.
Operations + Finance
Call Notes + Recap DirectorRuns today as Memo
Turns every recorded call into notes, decisions, and a list of who owes what by when. Sends the recap before the next meeting starts.
Commitments made on a call live in one person’s memory. Half of them evaporate.
Sends transcripts to Sales Enablement for coaching and to Voice of Customer for language mining.
$47,500 a year is the national median for Secretaries and administrative assistants, the closest matching occupation.
Operations + Financial IntelligenceRuns today as Otto
Builds the monthly picture. Revenue, spend, what changed, what is trending the wrong way, and which vendor renewals are about to hit.
You run on a bank balance instead of a number. Cost creep is invisible until it is large.
Flags competitor threads worth deeper research, and takes revenue-at-risk signals from Retention.
$91,600 a year is the national median for Budget analysts, the closest matching occupation.
BookkeeperCash · defined, not yet built
Categorizes transactions, reconciles accounts, tracks what is owed and what is owing, flags anything that looks wrong, and hands the accountant clean books.
Books get reconstructed in a panic at tax time, which is the most expensive hour your accountant bills.
Does not file taxes and does not give tax advice. Prepares the work your accountant then signs off on.
$50,700 a year is the national median for Bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks, the closest matching occupation.
Compliance + Risk OfficerRuns today as Dex
Screens everything before it goes out. Advertising claims, texting and calling rules, AI disclosure, and whether a statistic can be traced to a real source.
A claim nobody checked ends up in an ad. The cheapest version of that problem is still expensive.
Grades every item Clear, Fix, or Stop. Stop escalates and never gets quietly reworded through. Flags anything that is really a missing agreement to Contracts.
Contracts + Agreements CounselRuns today as David
Reads the paper before it gets signed. Client agreements, statements of work, vendor terms, and inbound non-disclosure agreements.
You sign whatever the other side sent, including the clause that gives away work you intended to reuse.
Flags what needs an attorney rather than acting as one. This role reads and summarizes. It does not practice law and it does not give legal advice.
HR DirectorHarper · defined, not yet built
Answers the routine people questions, drafts and maintains the handbook and the policies, and prepares the documentation a review or a difficult conversation needs. Works from published SHRM guidance and current employment law.
Policy lives in one person’s head and gets applied differently to different people. That is how a small problem becomes a claim.
Escalates anything touching a termination, an accommodation, worker classification or a complaint, to a human and to employment counsel. It drafts and it documents. It does not give legal advice and it does not decide an outcome.
$75,900 a year is the national median for Human resources specialists, the closest matching occupation.
Technology
App + Tools ArchitectRuns today as Arpad
Builds the internal tools nobody sells but everybody needs. Decides what to build, what to buy, and what to stop paying for.
You buy a subscription for every problem. Twelve tools later, none of them talk to each other.
Routes any tool that collects information to Compliance, and any tool whose terms decide whether it can be used at all to Contracts.
$136,000 a year is the national median for Software developers, the closest matching occupation.
IT Coordination + Asset ManagementSamson · defined, not yet built
The hardware side of IT, run as coordination. Ticket intake and triage, device and warranty tracking, patch and backup schedules, provisioning for new hires, and procurement research.
Nobody knows how many laptops you own, which ones are still under warranty, or whether the backups have been running.
Routes physical work to a human tech or a vendor. The screwdriver is still a person’s job. Everything around it does not have to be.
$61,900 a year is the national median for Computer user support specialists, the closest matching occupation.
CRM Operations SpecialistRuns today as Natasha
Lives inside the CRM. Creates and updates contacts, moves opportunities through the pipeline, fires the right workflow at the right moment, and keeps the data clean.
The CRM becomes a graveyard. Duplicate contacts, stalled deals nobody notices, and reports nobody trusts.
Feeds clean numbers to Operations and clean contact history to Voice of Customer.
$61,900 a year is the national median for Computer user support specialists, the closest matching occupation.
Marketing + Content
Content + Social LeadRuns today as Carl
Writes the posts, scores them against a rubric before anyone else sees them, and schedules only what has been approved.
Posting goes quiet for three weeks, then produces four rushed posts in one afternoon that all sound the same.
Everything routes to Compliance before publish, then to Beverly. Nothing is scheduled without her explicit yes on that specific post.
$74,800 a year is the national median for Public relations specialists, the closest matching occupation.
Search Visibility StrategistRuns today as Aria
Covers all three ways people find you now. Traditional search rankings, the featured answer boxes, and what AI assistants say when someone asks them for a recommendation.
You rank for your own company name and nothing else. The buyer asking a question never reaches you.
Checks for topic collisions before committing, because two of your own pages competing for one query split the authority and neither wins.
$78,800 a year is the national median for Market research analysts and marketing specialists, the closest matching occupation.
Intelligence + Research LeadRuns today as Nova
Watches the market, the competitors, and the regulatory news that is about to become your problem. Brings back what changed and what it means.
You learn about a competitor’s new offer from a client who is asking why you do not have one.
Sends opportunities to Partnerships, angles to Content, search questions to Search, and regulatory news to Compliance.
$78,800 a year is the national median for Market research analysts and marketing specialists, the closest matching occupation.
Voice of Customer LeadRuns today as Pearl
Mines call transcripts, emails, reviews and cancellation notes for the exact words customers use, and banks them.
Your marketing describes your business in your language. Buyers search in theirs, and the two never meet.
Feeds real customer language to Content, Search, Sales Enablement and both content strategists, so nothing has to be invented.
$78,800 a year is the national median for Market research analysts and marketing specialists, the closest matching occupation.
YouTube Content StrategistRuns today as Marie
Owns the video pipeline end to end. Topic research, titles, the on-screen words, descriptions, and cutting the long video into shorts.
You record something good and it sits on a hard drive because nobody owns the next step.
Passes social candidates to Content, newsletter candidates to the weekly issue, and approved copy to video production.
$76,900 a year is the national median for Writers and authors, the closest matching occupation.
Podcast Content StrategistRuns today as JoJo
Runs the podcast side. Guest research, question prep, episode framing, show notes, and pulling the reusable moments out of every recording.
An hour of good conversation produces one audio file and nothing else.
Hands the repurposing pack to Content for scoring and scheduling.
$76,900 a year is the national median for Writers and authors, the closest matching occupation.
Webinar CopywriterQuinn · defined, not yet built
Writes everything around a webinar. The registration page, the reminder sequence, the script and slide copy, the offer segment, and the follow-up after.
Forty people register, eleven show up, and nobody follows up with the twenty-nine who did not.
Routes through Compliance before anything is sent, same as every other outbound asset.
$76,900 a year is the national median for Writers and authors, the closest matching occupation.
Growth
Partnerships + PR HunterRuns today as Scout
Finds the podcasts, speaking slots, referral partners and press opportunities worth pursuing, and screens out the ones that are a waste of a week.
Visibility depends on who happens to email you.
Sends anything with terms attached to Contracts before a yes is given.
$74,800 a year is the national median for Public relations specialists, the closest matching occupation.
Sales Presentation Writer + CoachRuns today as RJ
Builds the decks and the talk tracks, then reviews real call recordings and says what to do differently next time.
Every sales conversation is improvised, so you never learn which version actually closes.
Takes call transcripts from Call Notes and customer language from Voice of Customer. Routes finished material through Compliance.
$69,300 a year is the national median for Training and development specialists, the closest matching occupation.
Your chart will not look like this one
It should not. This is the shape Operational Freedom needed after two years of building. Yours needs a different shape, and probably a smaller one to start.
You can build one of these roles, all of them, or a role that is not on this chart at all. Most businesses start with the single role that is costing them the most right now, prove it works, and add from there. Of the21 roles above, 15 are ones we build for clients. The rest exist because a consulting practice needs them and your business may not.
Wage figures are national medians from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics survey, May 2025, annualized at 2,080 hours. They describe what the role costs as a hire. They are not our pricing.
Hire the expertise you were never going to hire.
Nobody Is Losing a Job Here
These are roles a business your size was never going to fill. The Role You Skipped
An eight-person company does not hire a compliance reviewer or a voice-of-customer analyst. Those jobs were never getting posted. They just quietly went undone.
Your People Move Up
The work that gets handed over is the repetitive part nobody wanted. What is left is the judgment, the relationships, and the calls only a person should make.
You Keep the Final Say
Every one of these roles stops at a human. That is a design decision, not a limitation, and it is the reason this holds up when something unusual happens.
About Building a Team Like This
Broader questions about AI automation are answered on the FAQ.Can I start with one role instead of the whole team?
Yes, and most businesses should. Start with the role covering whatever is costing you the most right now, prove it works, then add. A twenty-one-role team is what one consulting practice needed after two years. It is not a starting point.
Can you build a role that is not on this chart?
Yes. This chart is the shape one business needed. If the job you cannot fill is not on it, that is a normal starting conversation, not an exception.
Who approves what these AI roles do?
A person does, every time. No AI role at Operational Freedom can send, publish, or spend without Beverly Scheider approving that specific item. The orchestrator routes work and reports back, and has no approval authority of its own.
What happens when one of these roles gets something wrong?
It gets caught at the approval gate, because nothing reaches the outside world without a human reading it first. Work that fails an internal check is reworked before it is ever shown, and anything with a compliance risk stops and escalates rather than being reworded and passed through.
How a Single Social Post
Seven steps inside Operational Freedom. One human. No shortcuts.Actually Gets Published
An idea comes in
From a podcast recording, a piece of competitor research, something a client said on a call, or Beverly in the shower. The source does not matter. What matters is that it lands somewhere instead of nowhere.
The Content Lead drafts it
Written for one platform, in one format, doing one job, with one call to action and one visual direction. Not a paragraph that gets reshaped five ways later.
It grades itself before anyone sees it
Against a fixed rubric, where the hook is worth half the total score. Everything else splits the rest: voice, length, call to action, whether it reads native to the platform, and whether it sounds like a machine wrote it.
Anything under 80 never reaches Beverly. It gets reworked first.
Compliance screens it
Two passes. First the brand voice check. Then the real one: advertising claims, texting and calling rules, AI disclosure, whether every statistic traces to a source, and whether the trademarks are right.
Beverly approves it, or sends it back
Per post. Not a batch. Not a standing yes. She sees the draft and the score, and she approves it, edits it, or redirects it.
Nothing moves past this line without her. Not the orchestrator. Not the Content Lead. Not the Compliance Officer.
Only then is it staged
Platform, account and time confirmed back to her in writing. A scheduled post is a published post with a delay, so it gets the same care as one going out right now.
It gets logged
Written to the calendar log so there is a record of what ran, when, and how it scored. That log is what makes next month’s decisions better than guesses.
Four of those steps happen without Beverly. The fifth is Beverly. That is the part people expect us to automate, and it is the one part we will not.
